Verse 2 of 52!

“In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.”
Proverbs 14:23

We all like to dream big dreams and even talk about them with our friends and family. But this verse reminds us that talking does not get the job done; only work does. As we are in the commencement of a new year, may we strive to work and not talk!

What is the memory verse that you have chosen this week? What does it mean to you?

Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

I'll also be finishing up my first week's verses... I don't know what I was thinking picking 2 for the first week! :)

I like your verse in Proverbs. Strive to work not to talk.

My verse this week is Ephesians6:11...Put on the full armor of God so you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. A reminder for me to daily rely on God's strength and put on every piece of his armor. As I have been repeating this verse in my mind during the day...I find myself being more aware of the enemys work around me.

This week I am memorizing Psalm 141:3...

"Set a guard over my mouth , O Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips."

I feel this is a verse we need to repeat and remember each day as a children of the Lord most high...

Blessings,
Kelly-Anne

@Lindsey

I like your verse choice!

Don't worry about getting behind. Catch up if you can . . . but don't "beat yourself up" if you fall behind. The goal is simply to memorize God's precious Word, hide it in our hearts!!

@Carol

Thank you!

Your verse and words are a good reminder to not rely on our strength, but on God's powerful strength!
