"But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil." 2 Thessalonians 3:3

This week, I decided to do another word study of my verse. (definitions taken from Strong's Greek Dictionary)

Faithful - "trustworthy, trustful"
Stablish - "to set fast, i.e. (literally) to turn resolutely in a certain direction, or (figuratively) to confirm"
Keep - "to watch, i.e. be on guard, preserve"
Evil - "evil, i.e. derelict, vicious, mischief, malice, guilt, the devil"

This verse gives me such peace. The very first phrase continually encourages me "But the Lord is faithful." It does not matter what I am going through, God is always, always, faithful!!! Not only that, but He is continually watching over me, watching where my feet go and if I seek Him, He will guide my steps in the way that they should go.

What is your 34th verse and how has it spoken to you this week?

This week I memorized Hebrews 13:5, "Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have; for He hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee." This verse beats around many important areas for single girls. I shared a couple of my thoughts here: http://withajoyfulnoise.blogspot.com/2012/08/verse-34-of-52.html

This week I memorized Romans 12:8, "Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness." In this verse, and a few before, Paul is saying that whatever the Lord has gifted us with, we should do unto Him. What really stuck out to me was the end of the verse; "he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness". We should show mercy with cheerfulness(and be happy about it)!
Have a great day! :)
