Makin' a List

The official beginning of this challenge starts soon!! I hope you are as excited about it as I am!!!

You can start working on the challenge now by making a list - a list of verses that you would like to memorize. I have found that if I don't have a list of verses to work on, I will procrastinate and end up memorizing nothing for the week.

Here are a few verses from my list:
1 Peter 1:13-15
James 3:16-17
Colossians 3:1-17
Acts 20:35
Ephesians 4:29

There are many more, but if you're like me, the list grows quicker than I can memorize!! What are some of the verses on your list?

Great idea to make a list now! My husband and I actually started this week and we are memorizing Isaiah 9:6. It's been such a blessing already!

Sierra,

You may definitely use any verses that others are memorizing. :) I think that it is a good way to expand our Bible knowledge to see what others are memorizing.

I'm excited too! I'm going to try to finish memorizing Psalm 103 ~ I've been working on this since mid-October but don't have all of it yet. So finishing that will be on the top of my list....then I have some random ones....

Genesis 3:15
John 1:1, 14:6, 17:17
Galatians 5:22-23
Acts 4:12
Hebrews 4:12
2 Timothy 3:16

....just to name a few. :)

Have you heard of www.memverse.com? I was introduced to this wonderful tool just this past year. It's a website where you can sign up and log on (free account) and you can enter your list of Bibles verses into your account, and it helps you to memorize the verses via their software!! I'm loving it! Another method to help me memorize, and it's really been helpful. Just wanted to mention it!

Grateful for this challenge!
Katie

@Sarah - that's great! I pray that you can get through the whole book next year!

@Katie - MemVerse looks neat, though I haven't heard of it before. It was great seeing your list as well.

I'm getting excited seeing all of you getting ready for this challenge! :)

Hi,
I just found this blog, and thought that this was a great idea! I'll definitely be joining in on the challenge :)
I don't really have a list, there are way too many verses :-) I think I will decide a few verses at a time as the year goes on...
But thank you for organizing this challenge!
