Weeks 19/20 of 52

“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
1 Corinthians 15:22

The beauty of salvation is wrapped in this verse. Because of Adam’s fall, we are all born into sin. But because of Christ’s love and sacrifice, we all have the ability to be saved from sin! Have you accepted Christ’s gift of salvation?

 ~~~
“Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.”
1 Corinthians 15:34
We are not saved just for “fire-protection” but to live a new life, hidden in Christ. The latter part of this verse is a challenge for all believers: are there people in our lives who do not have a personal relationship with Christ? What are we doing to reach them for Christ?
~~~
What have you been memorizing this month?

1: If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3

That could be my favorite verse. It's super fun to say. :-)

2: Even children become tired and need to rest, and young people trip and fall. But the people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky; they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired.
Isaiah 40:30-31

I really love the second verse, calling us to wake up and live righteously for God. Thanks for these verses! They've really been encouraging me :)

I've been remembering 1 Peter 3:3 this week - it's a great verse :)

@ Amy

1 Corinthians 13 holds such amazing truths about love! Truly, love is the heartbeat of Christian living!

Isaiah 40 is a good reminder for us to rely on God's strength.

Thank you for sharing your verses. What wonderful truths to ponder!

@Maddy

Thank you for commenting. I just looked up 1 Peter 3:3 and it is a verse that I know well; it is truly something to aim for as a young lady.
