But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
Matthew 20:26
This goes totally contrary to our natural flesh and to the
teachings of the world. We believe that to be great, we much “exert ourselves.”
However, as children of God, we are commanded to be different. We are not to
“exercise dominion over them {or} exercise authority over them” (Matthew
20:25). Like our example, Jesus Christ, we are to be servants, humbling down
from our pride to serve others.
