Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. John 6:27
What am I doing in this life? Am I busy with clothes, parties, making friends, having a "good time," trying not to stress out, finding a husband, etc.? OR am I studying my Bible, praying, hiding God's Word in my heart, sharing the Gospel, loving others as Christ loves, and doing my all for His glory? This verse really helped me to put some serious thought into the life that I live and what I am doing. Will my works today "burn" or will they last eternally?

Last week, I memorized verse 6 of Romans 21, and this week I am memorizing verse 7. The verses say: "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophecy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;" These verses are basically saying that whatever the has gifted us in, we should do. If we all do ou "job", things will run smoothly in the body of Christ.
This week, I memorized 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, which has been challenging me about my focus in life. I blogged about it here: http://withajoyfulnoise.blogspot.com/2012/08/verse-33-of-52.html
